When Planet Eclipse manufactured the first Ego it created an overnight revolution in the world of tournament-level Poppit-Valve based markers. By combining reliability, efficiency, performance, ease of maintenance, light weight, balanced design and compact dimensions in a package that was as easy to tech and service as it was to shoot high-speed strings on the field, it became an instant success with players, techs, and dealers alike.

all the benefits of a spool-valve marker, with no drawbacks!

4 years on, and with 3 years of development and testing behind it, Eclipse are ready to do to the Spool-Valve market what they did to the Poppit-Valve market back in late 2004.

The Eclipse Geo has been designed and developed to neutralise all the traditional negative aspects of spool-valve based markers. It offers exceptional air efficiency. It has the fewest possible number of dynamic seals. Yet it still has a Gas Supply Isolation mechanism built into the firing cycle. It is as easy to tech as any other Eclipse marker. It is incredibly reliable. It is compact, balanced and amazingly lightweight. It is everything that Eclipse stands for. Yet there would be no point in the development of this product if it eschewed the core values of what people like and demand from a spool-valve marker.

the bolt is the only moving part and weighs less than 18grams...

Smooth operation with a low reciprocating mass (the bolt is the only moving part and weighs less than 18grams). Low operating pressure between 110-135psi. And a quiet sound signature. What the Eclipse Geo now offers is all of the benefits of a spool-valve marker, with none of the drawbacks. Add to that the features that have become synonymous with Recent Eclipse markers such as Def-Tek feed technology, Heads-Up LCD module, Opto and Micro trigger operation, Break Beam Sensor System, Dual magnetic and Spring Trigger Return System, light weight and ergonomic design, simple maintenance and bullet-proof reliability, and the result is marker that draws on all the key Eclipse traits and principles to add an exciting new shooting platform to the range.

the ISCIS valve, .. the key element to this markers Simplicity and Efficiency...

ISCIS Valve

The Innovative Solenoid Controlled Isolation System of the Eclipse Geo is one of the key element to this markers Simplicity and Efficiency. This Solenoid Valve has been designed and developed specifically for this marker. It not only controls the action of the bolt mechanism but also the supply of air into and out of the main Valve Chamber. It allows for high-speed, super-efficient operation without the need for a complex bolt system and vulnerable o-rings.

Dynamic Seals

By utilizing the unique ISCIS valve system to control the flow of air into the valve chamber during the firing cycle it means that the bolt assembly can be as simple, robust and clutter-free as possible. This allows the use of the absolute minimum number of Dynamic seals possible in the bolt assembly, reduces possible stiction and FSDO in the system, and makes maintenance and trouble-shooting far easier.

VVC (Variable Volume Chamber)

The Geo does not have a conventional fixed volume valve chamber. An adjustment screw in the back of the bolt assembly allows quick and easy adjustment of the volume of the firing chamber.

Simple Maintenance

The Geo offers either Tool or Tool-less entry to the complete bolt mechanism. The bolt assembly is 3 basic parts:

  • The Can
  • The Bolt
  • The Propshaft

Unscrew the Propshaft by hand or with a hex key and then the Bolt and Can simply slide out. Complete strip-down takes as little as 6 seconds. Remove, replace and lube every single seal and component in under 2 and a half minutes.

SC (Spool-Cure) Bolt

The Eclipse Ego range has been successfully utilizing the Cure bolt for the last 3 years. The Geo sees the application of the same type philosophy to try and reduce the number af breakages caused by clipping of the second ball in the stack. Obviously a different bolt-head design is required due to the design of the Geo, but the principle is the same.

a self purging mechanism that prevents the marker storing a shot after the tank has been removed...

S3 In-Line Regulator

The new S3 regulator allows more than double the air-flow of any previous Eclipse In-Line regulator. Flow has been increased through the adjuster and the new piston. Also a first in this type of regulator, the design also incorporates a self purging mechanism that prevents the marker storing a shot after the tank has been removed.

Deftek Feed

The Deftek feed system has become an Eclipse Institution. The subtle off-set of the vertical feed to the breech greatly reduces LBB (Last Ball Bounce). LBB is the phenomena of free-falling balls in the feed tube bouncing out of the breech just as the bolt is starting to cycle forwards. This causes chops and barrel breaks. The Deftek feed effectively helps combat this issue.

LCD Display

Another Eclipse regular is the transflective LCD module. Mounted in the back of the frame for quick Heads-Up viewing, it quickly displays in-game information, such as:

  • Game time
  • Rate of fire
  • Shot count
  • Eye status
  • & much more...

But is also used to quickly navigate and set every user-definable parameter in the software.

Every Geo user has the option to quickly switch between Optical or Micro-switch operation...

Dual Selectable Trigger Switching

Introduced in 2007, the dual trigger switching option can be found here in the Eclipse Geo. Every Geo user has the option to quickly switch between Optical or Micro-switch operation. No need for aftermarket boards to customise your trigger feel. In the Geo, whichever system you prefer, it’s standard!

Dual Trigger Return Mechanism

Do you prefer Magnetic trigger return or Spring trigger return? With the Eclipse Geo you have the option of both as standard. Both magnetic and spring return are fully adjustable from zero to maximum. Use one or the other, or both together.

Integrated Audible Sound Device

New for 2009 to the Eclipse Family is an integrated beeper on all circuit boards. But rather than just use the beeper for audible alarms on the Game Timer, the new beeper can also be configured to give audible confirmation of:

  • Power up
  • Power down
  • Button pushes.
